1. Please leave used clothing/bedding from the owner at the location where the animal went missing
2. If the pet went missing from a walk and you drove there, please return to the place you parked and sit with the engine running and the boot / door open
3. If there are major roads or rail tracks nearby please contact Highways and National Rail as a matter of urgency : National Rail: 03457 11 41 41 Highways: 0300 123 5000.
4. We will email you a poster to print out. Please pin them up all around the area the pet went missing https://www.doxdirect.com/help/free-missing-pet-posters/ for 50 free posters
5. Please contact all local vets with a picture of your pet and inform them they are missing
6. At home please put your used bedding/clothes raised slightly off the ground. Leave back gate and back door open to allow the animal to return. Most will if they can.
8. If your pet is a dog, please inform your local dog warden that they are missing asap
